Vincent Grasso Obituary, VERONA, N.Y. — Vincent Grasso, a 30-year-old man from Rome, New York, has died following a fatal motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck at the intersection of State Route 365 and Blackmans Corners Road in the Town of Verona.

According to the New York State Police, the collision happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the busy intersection. Authorities identified Grasso as the motorcyclist who was killed after his 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a pickup truck attempting to cross the highway.

Investigators said Grasso was traveling westbound on State Route 365 when the crash occurred. A 66-year-old pickup truck driver had reportedly stopped on Blackmans Corners Road before entering the intersection and attempting to cross Route 365.

The motorcycle struck the pickup truck as it entered the intersection, causing severe injuries to Grasso. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials confirmed that the pickup truck driver was not injured in the crash. State Police explained that State Route 365 is a four-lane highway with a center turning lane, and vehicles traveling on Route 365 do not have a stop sign at the intersection, while drivers on Blackmans Corners Road are required to stop before crossing the highway.

The New York State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly collision, including the movements of both vehicles and right-of-way factors. No charges have been announced, and authorities said the investigation remains active.

Vincent Grasso’s death has left family, friends, and members of the community mourning the loss of a young life taken too soon. As investigators continue their work, loved ones remember Grasso and the impact he had on those around him. May he rest in peace.
