Manack, a 28-year-old resident of Canton, who died following a devastating head-on collision Thursday afternoon on Navarre Road. The fatal crash has left family, friends, and loved ones mourning an unexpected loss as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:51 p.m. near the intersection of Navarre Road and Negley Avenue in Perry Township. Investigators said Manack was driving a gray 2016 Jeep Compass southwest on Navarre Road when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle crossed the center line and entered the path of an oncoming 2019 Ford Transit van.

Despite emergency responders’ efforts, he suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Haynes sustained minor injuries in the collision and was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. Authorities reported that his injuries were not considered life-threatening, and he is expected to recover.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canton Post continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Officials have not yet determined why the Jeep crossed the center line, and no additional information has been released as investigators continue reviewing evidence related to the fatal incident.
