Blake Lemire Obituary, TOLLAND, CONNECTICUT — The Coventry community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Blake Michael Lemire, a 17-year-old teenager who died after being struck by a vehicle in a pedestrian crash on Crystal Lake Road in Tolland, Connecticut. The fatal accident occurred Sunday night, leaving family, friends, classmates, and neighbors grieving the loss of a young life.
According to Connecticut State Police, the crash happened at approximately 10:40 p.m. when Blake was standing in the roadway and was struck by a 2016 Ford Taurus traveling southbound. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and requested a LifeStar medical helicopter, but Blake was pronounced dead as a result of the collision.
Authorities said the driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Vernon, remained at the scene following the crash. Two passengers were also inside the vehicle at the time of the incident, but no additional injuries were reported. The Connecticut State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
